A Novel C/X- Band Linear Polarized Conformal Shared Aperture Antenna Array for Spaceborne SAR Applications

In this work, a dual-band linear polarized C/X conformal shared aperture antenna (SAA)for spaceborne SAR applications is presented. The proposed single layer SAA designed with square-shaped patch in polarization and arranged as four elements (2x2) array corporate feeding to allow for efficient signal transmission. design of that operates at C-band (5.35 GHz) X-band (9.65 GHz). Most applications, such satellite radar weather forecasting, employ the antenna. On other hand, antennas are used surveillance, reconnaissance, air traffic control, monitoring. A prototype built, its s-parameters tested confirm With suggested design, we were able obtain bandwidth 65MHz 354MHz X-band, well gains 13.2 dBi 10.6 isolation more than 40 dB. total size 130 × 80 0.8 mm. According study, dual band operating future spacecraft on same practical solution satisfy user demands.
